Dashboard Settings

The dashboard settings control the appearance and refresh rate of the reports on the dashboard, unless explicitly overridden for a report in the individual report settings.

Basics

The basic settings of a dashboard include the name, description color scheme. The color scheme influences the default choice of colors for any reports whose chart is not configured to use specific colors.

Thumbnail

The dashboard thumbnail is updated automatically every day for dashboards that have been accessed. The thumbnail can also be updated manually in the "Thumbnail" tab of the dashboard settings. Here you can also turn off the thumbnail completely in case it is not desirable to have the dashboard represented using a thumbnail - a placeholder image will be used instead.

Data Refresh

The data refresh settings control the maximum age of data shown by reports on the dashboard, unless explicitly overridden in the individual report settings.

The Anchor time can be used to ensure that no report data on a dashboard is older than the chosen time of day at the moment the dashboard is accessed organization time zone. This is useful, for example, to avoid showing data from the previous day when a refresh rate of 24h is generally sufficient but it should never be older than midnight of the current day.

Filters

The Filters section of the dashboard settings allows fine-tuning the appearance of the filter controls in the dashboard filter bar.
