Two-factor Authentication

To improve the security of your Cluvio account, you can configure one of Cluvio's supported two-factor authentication methods.

Authenticator App

An authenticator app on a mobile device can be used with Cluvio to generate one-time codes for each sign-in, for example with the Google Authenticator for Android or Apple devices. To register your Cluvio account with your mobile authenticator app, sign in to Cluvio on a desktop computer or laptop, go to Personal Settings and scroll to the Two-factor Authentication section. Then select Configure in the Cluvio UI for the Authenticator app.

Cluvio will prompt you to scan a QR code similar to the following with your mobile device's camera via your authenticator app. For example, in Google Authenticator, selecting the + icon followed by Scan a QR code. Then point the camera of your mobile device onto the screen showing the QR code.

caution

The QR code on this page is only for illustration and does not work with your (or any other) Cluvio account. You must scan the QR code generated specifically for you in the Cluvio UI. Your QR code contains personalized, secret information. Do not let anyone else scan your Cluvio QR code.

Once scanned, your authenticator app will show a numeric code for your Cluvio account that changes over time. To confirm and complete your Cluvio authenticator app configuration, enter the currently shown code into the provided text field and select Verify. When the code is valid, the dialog closes automatically and you have successfully enabled two-factor authentication via your authenticator app for your Cluvio account.

To later remove your currently enabled Cluvio two-factor authentication via authenticator app, e.g. because you want to renew your Cluvio authenticator app configuration on a new mobile device, select Remove. For additional security, Cluvio requires you to enter your password to confirm removal.
